In the summer of 2007 the Beeb released iPlayer into the wild for those souls (un)lucky enough to be using a Windows OS, this caused quite a stir amongst those people who use a different OS (i.e. Mac or Linux) and so around this time last year auntie gave the rest of us the iPlayer website. Whilst this was a step in the right direction, and a very polished and extremely usable step at that, it always felt as though we (non windows users) were being fobbed off with the web 2.0 equivalent of a hand me down. Well, after my aborted and highly ill-advised attempt at moving out a few years back I’ve been treading water living at home with the rents, while this means I’ve enjoyed an excellent domestic service and full access to Sky TV it has also meant that I’ve been getting closer and closer to the point where living with your parents moves from being embarrasing to a little bit creepy.
Thankfully that is, for now at least, about to change. In the new year I will be moving in to Tash’s old room at Annies! WOOOO!
I’m also temping with Office Angels and seem to have found a cooshy number with them for the time being and I got a 92 for my CMA on my OU course.
Seems oddly like things are on the up.

I start my new job at CodeStorm on Friday! w00t. I’m no longer unemployed. Suck on that recession hahaha. I almost feel bad for Mr King, he was all like “yeah well, we looked at it with the data we had, and we had to make a call. With the benifit of hindsight looks like we cocked up…but at the time both options looks crap” and people are all up in his face saying “Man, that’s some fucked up shit. Yo’ the damn Bank of England foo’!!”.
On the other hand he’s working for the grand temple of capitalist comsumerism in the UK, so I don’t feel too bad that he’s getting shat on.
Also, I think Mervin King and Bankers sounds like a band from the 60’s.

Okay, Okay, I know I’m not American, and for most of the past 8 years I’ve held the US in a certain level of disdain… Hey you voted for Bush…twice…sort of…
But all as been forgiven in my mind. The US is back on the path to being the country it’s supposed to be.
California voted for Prop 8…which was a bit of a shock, but even the Governator is against Prop 8, so hopefully the Californian Supreme Court will strike down 8 with great vengeance and furious anger (hehehehe).
But MI and MA voted for medicinal marijuana so good for them, looks like you guys are starting to get that cannabis is not evil.

In personal news, I got a 90 on my first Tutor Marked Assessment for my new Open Uni course, and I might have a new job, hopefully, at Codestorm. It should be interesting and it’s paid weekly. w00t.
Okay, spent the past 2 hours not doing my uni work. I should but oh well.
Instead what I did was the following:
I tidied my room…sort off… Well it’s clean but there’s still an odd little mess of things I’m not sure I want to keep any more but certainly don’t not want enough to actually throw them away.
I also rearranged my computer area so as to discourage me from being on here at 2 am. Instead of having it at the foot of my bed so that all I have to do is to spin round to the other end I now have to sit in the chair of pain and torture.
On the other hand I’ve also rearranged all the cables and shit so that they are no longer quite the fire hazard that they once were, I’ve got all the peripherals all plugged in and the TV right next to the “workstation”. on the other end of this situation I have the amp and my two guitars sitting there looking forlorn wondering why they’ve been shoved in the corner. Oh well.
As soon as I’ve got a cable that works, I’ll put up a photo so that everyone can see it coz it all looks rather good
